Countryside Honey Co. honey is 100% raw. This means that the honey is “as it exists” in the beehive. It is never heated and remains unfiltered (only minimally strained) in order to retain the many health benefits that are often lost due to the pasteurization and large-scale processing of regular name-brand honey that one can find at the store. Above and beyond, CHC honey is extracted in small, hyper-local, manually spun batches, and sold directly to the consumer, ensuring a higher quality honey that is truly reflective of our local flowers and nectar. Decorative glass jars serve as the superior way to preserve the integrity of this premium honey.
The Honey
Countryside Honey Co. is now selling nucs, short for nucleus hives. A nucleus hive is a small, but complete, colony of bees with many bees, a queen, brood, and a few frames of drawn comb. CHC nucs are standard 5-frame nucs that are sold in a cardboard or plastic nuc box along with a pollen patty for a nutritious start for your bees. The bees are locally raised and come with either a locally raised queen or a queen from a breeder, depending on your preferences as well as availability.
